Scientists have identified the first-ever-known flower that mimics the smell of rotting insects, rather than vertebrates, to attract flies, which are lured in and trapped in order to pollinate the plant and are released unharmed. 2. An arctic walrus dubbed Wally was spotted on an Irish beach more than 2,500 miles south of its natural habitat in March 2021, leading researchers to believe he fell asleep atop a drifting iceberg! 3. Cursed! A 2,300-year-old pot found in Athens in 2006 was filled with dismembered chicken bones, pierced with an iron nail and buried with a coin. Archaeologists believe it was used in a curse meant to paralyze and kill more than 30 people, whose named were etched onto the jar.
