1. Human footprints more than 800,000 years old were discovered in Happisburgh in 2013 after a storm exposed them off the British coast. They are the oldest outside of Africa, where hominin footprints as old as 3.6 million years have been found! 2. During Britain's blackout during World War II, some farmers painted white stripes on their cows so they would be visible to motorists at night. 3. By the end of WWII, the FBI had a physical database of over 10 million fingerprints - the filing cabinets filled an area larger than a football field!
