Spanish-American War veteran Peter Cluckey had such severe arthritis that all of his joints eventually fused together in a seated position, and his front teeth had to be removed so he could be fed. He died in 1925 at the age of 43. Cluckey donated his body to the National Museum of Health and Medicine in Washington, D.C., where his skeleton still sits today. 2.
